Interactivity

The BRC HOA prides itself on offering a wide range of options for any prospective Black Rock City homeowner.

  • Feeling creative? Superfriends-Synesthasia offers a schedule of daily activities and, if you're too exhausted for activities, enjoy a nap in the specially adapted less-than-olympic sized H2O-free pools.
  • Groggy from your nap? Stop by the Bare Chested Baristas for your afternoon pick me up. Hipster-made cold brew coffee beverages and cocktails will get your afternoon back on track.
  • Perhaps you want to get to know your neighbors in all sorts of interesting ways? Dr Carl's Dept of Collections will have you searching the city for interesting or unusual things/people/talents. You may find yourself with a semi-fabulous prize.
  • Now it's time for a tasty beverage! Spank the Monkey will fill your cup with specially crafted cocktails and Bearwhalea is happy to offer choice beverages to whet your whistle.
  • Perhaps you require something opposite of dehydration. Rejuvenation will get you back on your feet with coconut water and other refreshing elements that will leave you feeling like new.
  • No matter where you go in the BRC HOA you will surely be followed by snark and rants from our cautiously friendly Trashistanis. This year with extra magic!
  • Is snark too much for you? Wander past Grey Matter for a little positive reinforcement and possibly a tour of the impressive BRC HOA infrastructure.
  • Finally as the sun begins to set and you howl (for you have survived another day in the desert), be dazzled by Prismaticamp's thousands of LEDs strewn about in costume, car and beyond.

Physical Description

The 8 camps in the village will utilize multiple structures for shelter, interactivity and infrastructure. Domes, quonset huts, hexayurts, scaffolding, RVs and a few stray tents will be scattered across our little piece of land. Our goal is to arrange the village to maximize frontage and to truly present ourselves as a village and not just a collection of camps. Each camp will submit a questionnaire detailing their structures.

Acculturation

Our village includes a wide variety of interactive elements, camp styles and Burner "how we got here" stories. Each camp within the village welcomes the new Burner and is eager to ensure they not only have an excellent time but become participants and contributors to our little city and the world they go back to.
